St John's College, University of Sydney is raising money to improve the infrastructure at a Primary School in Zimbabwe. St Goroni Boniface School hosts approximately 370 enthusiastic students aged between 5-15 years. However, the learning environment is a humbling sight: the blackboards are peeling from the walls, the library ceiling recently caved in due to heavy rainfall, and there are not enough classrooms to host proper classes for all the students. This is all going to change! The St John's College Volunteer Network has come up with exciting events to raise money and to make sure these problems are history. We aim to build a new library with books, replace all the blackboards and furniture, and build classrooms to ensure that each class may have their own room.

Cambodia is recognised as one of the poorest countries in the world. Education is not compulsory and many families find it financially difficult to send their children to school. The main aim of the foundation is to provide financial support to families in the District of Phum O in northern Cambodia by providing school essentials such as books, pens/pencils and uniforms. Where needed, the foundation will also provide bikes to those children who, without them, would be unable to travel to school. In addition to assistance to families, the foundation will also fund improvements to school facilities where required and provide assistance to teachers by way of teaching aids and professional development. The financial support provided by the foundation will assist families and teachers and will increase the numbers of children attending primary schools in the district.
